Amazing how the exterior public space simply flows into the building. One can hardly tell the difference between outside and inside.
The kind of concept i am looking to achieve in my "Hybrid" design.

The Design is Starting!!
Colour Code Key
A nice little idea to introduce two courtyards. The one on street face to allow pedestrians to see into the building all the way up and then another one at the back for the residents of the space. A private walkway from the parking level will ensure access is kept private.
How i want to influence the facade of the building. It needs a little bit of help.
Ground: Stacking or sliding glazed shopfronts
First: Semi closed with plants to add a green element to the building relating to the park across the road and to conceal cars and reduce emissions.
Second and Third: Full length windows to maximise views. Shading will be needed as it is on the north side. (Shading timber slat elements on roof)

Booked Up
A little bit of night time reading to find applicable theories for design. #bookworm #bringthecoffee #book #page #word #procrastination. Ok I'm done now...

Quote
"Each material has its specific characteristics which we must understand if we want to use it...We must remember that everything depends on how we use a material, not on the material itself... New Materials are not necessarily superior. Each material is only what we make of it...
We must be as familiar with the functions of our buildings as with our materials. We must learn what a building can be, what it should be, and also what it must not be.
And just as we acquaint ourselves with materials, just as we must understand functions, so we must become familiar with the psychological and spiritual factors of our day. No cultural activity is possible otherwise; for we are dependent on the spirit of our time."

Unified Architectural Theory
“‘Unified Architectural Theory’ is not theory at all. It is
evidence. It lets us see how until recently we have always designed and built.
We've built buildings and spaces and towns that reflect the order in our genes,
in the biological world we're part of. We've felt at home in them because their
order makes space for our body and our soul. Now we rediscover how to build a
world that does not alienate us from who we are, a world that gives us joy, a
world that brings us home.”

Inspiration for Office
I found some great examples of natural light in offices, i would imagine the situation in my building to be similar as the main facade is north facing.
Love how it is possible to see straight through the space
Another example of seeing right through and a lot of natural light. Also the noise zoning makes sense.
And then just a few designs that i think are lovely.
